I wonder if there are lilies still growing at Burton? Or if not would it be an idea to plant some that could be seen from the quiet room window. Thank you for your interesting information 🙏x Paul

Agreed. I found this post the most moving of the blog so far Liz. And thanks for making (most of) the images clickable thumbnails to higher-res versions so that we can see more of the detail. Vx

Thank you for your comments Vince. I think we are fortunate that Adela wrote about her feelings for Lily in such a way. At her best, Adela writes beautifully.

I am glad you appreciate the photos this time! If I add them separately it is possible to see them more clearly than if they are in a gallery. When I was in the States I was so keen to share as many photos as possible!
